My life looked polished. My life felt like a cage.
Everyone around you calls it a good life. You keep waiting to feel it.
You have been fine for a long time now.
You were never meant to perform for love. You were meant to be love.
I'm Julie Heaton — author, coach and circle keeper. There are two rooms to do this work in: one to one, at the pace your actual situation needs, or a circle of twelve for six weeks. Start wherever your week honestly is.
IF YOU ARE STANDING HERE…
You built something that works. The role fits, the calendar is full, the people around you are cared for. And somewhere underneath it there is a voice you set down years ago, because carrying it was costing you too much.
Nothing about that makes you broken. It makes you someone who learned early that love arrived when you performed for it. That lesson kept you safe once. It just stopped paying you back.
You are not starting over. You are coming back.
Love doesn't demand shapeshifting. Love doesn't manipulate. Love liberates.
What comes next is plainer than it sounds: you tell the truth about what you want, you build ground to stand on while you say it, and you keep company with people who will not flinch when you do.
“When I read the part about hating your job and feeling that it's toxic, it struck me. I'm in that place in my life right now.”
Veronica Rouette · on The Manifester's Playbook
TWO ROOMS
Both small enough to be honest in.
Most people arrive thinking they need one and find they wanted both. There is no order you are supposed to do them in.
One To One
One voice, at the pace your situation actually needs.
Some things you will say out loud exactly once, and only to one person. This is the room for those.
A fifteen-minute conversation first, before anything is agreed
Live, on video, one to one — recorded only if you want it recorded
Practice in your real life between sessions, and you can reach me
Ending it whenever you want. The door swings both ways, and that includes out

The Roar Circle
Twelve people, six weeks, four movements.
A circle is not an audience. Nobody presents, nobody performs, and there is no back row to sit in — a circle has no back row.
In order, because the order is the work: reclaim, own, align, radiate
Ninety minutes live, thirty minutes with a partner, one real step in your actual week
Zoom, cameras on. Recorded, so a hard week doesn't cost you the room
The next circle runs in October. Dates go out in the Love Letters first

Love Letters, not a newsletter
About once a week, one letter. Something I have lived, told straight, with the part I got wrong left in. Circles are announced here first — it's the only list they go out on.
Hi, I’m Julie.
I teach people to stop performing for love.
For years there were days I drove more than an hour to work, sat in the parking lot, and drove home again without going in. From the outside it looked like a life anyone would want.
At fifty, I finally had the courage to quit. I chose me.
I lost a lot. I gained more — I gained myself. Everything I bring to a room is something I have already walked and then gone looking for the research on. I will not teach you a thing I have not lived.
Start on the page, if that’s easier.
Seven books. ROAR: Your Sacred Rebellion for the person putting the performance down, The Manifester's Playbook and The Manifester’s Workbook for the practice of it, and four for the little ones who haven't spent fifty years forgetting they were enough — illustrated by Caroline Dittmann.
Ask It Plainly
-
No. This is coaching, and I'm an author and coach rather than a therapist — I say so out loud in the room. It's a strong companion to therapy, and plenty of people do both.
-
Then read a while first. Readiness isn't a prerequisite here, and there is always another circle. The door doesn't lock behind anyone.
-
Twelve. Small enough that nobody hides, large enough to hear a range of voices.
-
In a circle, yes. This is a be-seen space — that isn't a rule bolted on for order, it's the work.
-
Send you letters. That's the whole of it. It is never sold, rented, or shared, and one click at the bottom of any letter ends it for good.
-
For a circle, yes — the reading is part of each week. For one to one, no.
